Jerry Geddes graduated from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University with a degree in accounting. He quickly passed the CPA exam and began his career working with private clients, both individuals and businesses, doing accounting and tax work. In 1990, he opened his own accounting and tax practice, Geddes & Company in Fairfax, Virginia. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Virginia Society of CPAs, and the National Society of Accountants (NSA). 

While working with his tax clients, particularly the self-employed and small business owner, Jerry realized that many of them were not taking advantage of the tax benefits of a retirement plan. He decided to expand his services to include retirement planning and investment services. He obtained his General Securities License  and became an independent financial advisor, choosing LPL Financial as his Broker/Dealer and Registered Investment Advisor because of the extensive administrative, support and research capabilities and the investment selection offered.

Jerry's investment and financial consulting practice has grown to include establishing qualified plans for businesses, offering business related insurance such as disability income replacement, business continuation insurance and life insurance for buy/sell agreements and succession planning. Jerry also makes comprehensive financial and retirement planning services available to all of his clients, and he helps his clients build well-diversified portfolios.

Jerry lives with his wife Cindy and his children Megan and Ryan. He mantains his office in Fairfax, VIrginia and can often be seen riding to work on his electric blue scooter, to be green. Not your run-of-the mill tax guy.
